Sacrificing Kara
Originally Produced at Mahattan Theatre Source, NYC
Would you sacrifice yourself for love?
Sacrificing Kara takes place one Friday evening in a crumbling, walk-up apartment in Brooklyn.
On that night, Kara, who works fulltime as a waitress to support her brilliant yet still-unknown artist husband, Jake, and preparing for an urgent visit by her wealthy sister and brother-in-law, is suddenly and harshly confronted with Jake's infidelities.
What she discovers is that love, and perhaps more importantly, his art, may just be worth
sacrificing everything...

*REVIEW*
Around the Town, Chicago
"Another of my favorites is 'What Good Did We See Today?' by Cathrine Goldstein. In an extraordinary performance, Manny Schenk channels George, an old man with dementia as he slowly but steadily declines between March 2020 and February 2021. Among other things, he confuses his two daughters and fails to understand the restrictions on his activities due to shelter-in-place orders."
